Hello, Artstation Community!

I'm thrilled to present my latest artwork as a culmination of my 2023 journey. This year has been challenging for recent graduates and those affected by layoffs, but I remain hopeful that the coming year will bring better opportunities for all. I'm excited to unveil my newest creation—a piece inspired by one of my beloved characters, Mulan. This marks the inauguration of my Mulan series comprising four chapters. Titled "暮年," translating to 'elderly age,' this piece depicts Mulan's role as a mentor to young soldiers in a fantasy setting after her retirement. Drawing from historical records and modern theories of the '北魏' (Northern Wei) era, I've curated a collection of elements that narrate her story, encompassing her diverse identities and life experiences, all set to be brought to life in 3D. In my work, I specialize not only in crafting intricate 3D models but also in creating lifelike textures for various objects. My creative process is often inspired by the vibrant patterns found in '中国纹样全集' - The Complete Works of Chinese Patterns.
